The 2026 Cherokee County School District Festival of the Arts showcases outstanding student artists and musicians!  The festival is 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 17; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 18; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 19, in downtown Woodstock.  Admission is free.

The Cherokee County School District again earned an outstanding four-star rating from the state’s financial efficiency accountability system!  The Financial Efficiency Star Ratings report school districts’ return on taxpayer investment, by comparing spending per student to student academic performance as measured by the state’s College and Career Ready Performance Index.

The Cherokee County School District’s 2026 Teacher of the Year heard the call to teach during his military service and now serves his community as an educator … congratulations to Bobby Mayo Wiggins II, Cherokee High School’s Career Pathway carpentry and construction teacher!

Due to the General Election Primary using numerous schools for polling sites, May 19 will be a Remote Learning Day for all students.
